Introduction:


Department of Electronics Engineering was started in 1986 with the intake of 60. The department is accredited two times by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi. The department has well qualified and experienced staff to cater the University curriculum. All Laboratories are well equipped with latest software and hardware. Department has 101 computers with latest configuration and necessary peripherals to fulfil the students requirements. The available licensed software are Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2007, Xillinx, NI LabView, Matlab, ALTIUM Designer, Mentor Graphics EDA tools and Multisim. Various workshops /seminars/value addition programs in collaboration with industries such as FOX Solutions India Pvt. Ltd, OS3 Technology on VLSI Design, LabView programming, Internet of Things, Matlab programming, PLC and SCADA, Variable Frequency Drives, make your own Mobile, Robotics are organized regularly for SE, TE, BE students.

The department has Electronics Engineering Student Association (EESA) under which different events like GD, Quiz, Circuit Design contest, debate, project exhibition, indoor and outdoor games are organized. Hobby club is established to make the student practically sound and develop their interest by implementing electronic Gadgets for variety of applications. Guest lectures/Seminars on Advancement in Technology, Entrepreneurship development, Competitive Examinations (GATE/GRE/TOFEL), Social awareness/responsibilities, is arranged for the students. The department organises various Technical events on State/National levels every year.

  1. Students and Faculty Development Program, workshop are being conducted under Texas Instumentation, India University program at TI Embedded Systems center of excellence Lab, Department of Electronics Engineering.
  2. Department has signed MoU's with TEXAS Instrumentation, Bangalore and established Center of Excellence with their co-ordination to impart the knowledge of latest technology in the field of Electronics Engineering.

The department has “Departmental Library” for the students with reference books as well as text books. The library also contains different reference project as well as seminar reports. Considering overall development of students, the department has undertaken various personality development and value added courses with certification by reputed industry.

Department also runs IEEE Circuits and Systems student chapter under the IEEE Mumbai section. The department is committed to prepare students dynamically to meet the industry challenges.

Vision:

The vision of the department is to contribute for improving well being of the students from rural background by imparting quality education in the field of Electronics Engineering.

Mission:

1. The mission of electronics Engineering department is to impart basic understanding of Electronics Engineering built on a foundation of basic sciences, mathematics.

2. The faculty and staff of the department is committed to train our students to become proficient at putting theory into practice, capable of lifelong learning and be aware of the social and environmental issues.

3. The department is dedicated to endow students with the knowledge, technical skills and values that prepare them to excel as engineers and leaders in their profession.

  3. Texas Instruments DrishTI online contest is conducted every semester for the third and final year students.The objective of the contest is to increase the knowledge-base of future engineers so that they interact with industry-standard technology before they graduate and develop the skills needed to tackle tomorrow’s most challenging problems.

Instrumentation Lab and Drives and Controls Lab in the department provide equipment and facility such as Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and modern AC drives for the students.

Based on the strength mentioned above, following initiatives are taken by the department –
Experts from FOX Solutions, Nasik conduct training for the final year students on Industrial Automation, PLCs and AC drives. Upon successful completion of training a recruitment drive is conducted by the Fox Solutions for the final year students.
