Department of Computer Engineering

 

  

Department of Computer Engineering was started in 1986 with the intake of 60 and intake is increased to120 in the academic year 2012-2013. Department has completed its silver jubilee in year 2011. The department is accredited three times by National Board of Accreditation, New Delhi . The department has introduced with ME (Computer Engineering)in the year 2010 with the intake of 18 and intake is increased to 24 in the academic year 2014-2015. Department has excellent infrastructure and human resources to cater both these courses.

 

The department has well qualified and experienced staff. We have excellent record of results and placements. Department is enriched with the laboratories with de-facto standards. Laboratories are well equipped with latest software and hardware. The available licensed software are Rational Rose, 3D Max V3 and V7, Visual Studio 6.0, Oracle 10g, Linux, Novell Netware, Windows 2003 server, Windows 8.1, Windows 7,Quick heal Antivirus, Microsoft Office 2007 etc. Department has 205 computers with latest configuration and 20 peripherals to fulfil the students requirements. 100 Mbps internet connectivity laid across the campus with Wi-Fi. Students are trained in Computer Programming for engineering applications to meet the IT Industry challenges.

Apart from these laboratories for Under Graduate course, the department has set up separate laboratories for ME with the latest available hardware and research resources. for PG course we have.

 

Department has tie up with NVIDIA and has setup NVIDIA GPU Teaching Centre housing four workstations for the exposure to students on parallel and concurrent programming. Also the department has tie up with IIT Powai, Mumbai for AAKASH R&D Project. The department has tie up with MiTu Skillologies, Nashik for Big Data Analytics Centre of Excellence for the exposure to students on big data analytics platform. Incubation Cell, Microsoft Student Partner Program, IBM Academic Initiative and NPTEL Local Center has been an extra advantage to the department.

 

The department has “Departmental Library” for the students with reference as well as text books. The library also contains different reference project as well as seminar reports. Considering overall development of students, the department has undertaken various personality development and value added courses with certification by reputed industry. Department focuses on building the student enough competent to get placed in well known companies. ACES (Association of Computer Engineering Students) is the student association, which looks into the various co-curricular activities in the department. The department arranges various expert lectures, educational visits, programming contest for students. Department also runs CSI student chapter under the CSI Nasik Chapter, ISTE student chapter. The overall goal of the department is to make brilliant and dynamic students to meet the industry challenges.
